Shadows of . . . Despair | Inaugural Halloween Exhibit

Don’t be afraid to join us . . .

Well . . . perhaps a healthy dose of fear would be appropriate! Join us for Shadows of . . . Despair our first Halloween pop up show on display in our main gallery from October 29th through November 8th.

There will be a Halloween Gallery Bash on Thursday October 30th with light dark refreshments and the gallery will be transformed into a dark and immersive installation featuring the work of Bella Bishara, Jon Bolton, Zack Lowe, and SubQulture Studio!

When: October 30th 6pm-8pm

Where: Good Art Co.’s main gallery 10 Central Ave., Greenville, SC 29601

What: This series of exhibitions are centered around an annual theme focused on the darker side of art. Haunting images, dangerously good art, and macabre compositions all align with the season’s transformation as the Good Art Gallery dresses itself up for spooky season. The show will remain up through November 8th, and will be featured as part of our first Friday art walk.

  • Good Art Co. curates a few "types" of shows to rotate through every year. We intentionally seek out shows or ideas that reflect our "4 C's"—exhibitions that focus on or promote: CURRENT (reflecting a trending topic we're seeing in the Upstate), CULTURE (reflecting something unique about an Upstate community), CAUSES (reflecting a nonprofit or charitable cause), and COMMUNITY (reflecting a local group or somehow lifting up a local group).

  • You can send us a message on our "Contact" page under the category "artists and creatives." We will get back in touch if the show or idea is in line with our mission and if we forsee a potential timeslot opening. Please also subscribe to our newsletter, and follow us on social! We send our calls for artists via email and social media.

  • We send out calls for artists every few months. To be alerted of those, please subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social!

  • Good Art Co. handles everything: show installation, promotion, media and publicity, opening and closing receptions + food and drinks, sales and sales tax, packaging and de-installation, and more. The artist is responsible for dropping off and picking up work, although we can arrange help. Good Art Co. takes a commision of 30% for every sale within our gallery and shop; this directly funds our 501c3 free programming for the community.
