2nd Annual “Mosaic of Art” Group Exhibition and Fundraiser

“Mosaic of Art” is a 6-week collaborative art exhibition elevating Hispanic and Latino artists across the region. This year's guest curator Antonio Modesto (an inaugural Brandon Fellow, Palmetto Luna artist scholarship recipient, public historian, content creator, and fine art photographer) has selected an array of artworks celebrating diverse explorations of heritage, identity and expression.

Be sure to attend between 10/2 and 11/7 to cast your vote for the people's choice prize (where one artist will receive a $250 prize for their work), and show up on opening night where the curator's choice award will be announced (sponsored by Palmetto Luna Arts)!

All artwork will be available for sale, and a portion of this year's proceeds will be donated to the Hispanic Alliance in support of the hard work they do for the community.

We will have more than 50 local artists and makers represented, and will add more unique gifts every day throughout the holiday season—come find something for everyone on your list, from jewelry and paper goods to hand-stitched leather, ornaments, small artworks, prints, plushies for kids and more.

“Consensus UNreality” | Tyler Ashe Solo Show & Fundraiser

Official Opening Reception & First Friday Art Party: August 7th, 6p—9pm

Consensus UNreality, local Upstate SC-based artist Tyler Ashe’s debut solo exhibition, recaptures the magic of what’s all around us (and what isn’t). With unabashed use of vivid color and expressive brushwork, these acrylic works depict uncommon animals and creatures in surrealistic settings that are unmoored to expectation and time. Tyler’s work is meant to be raw and approachable, drawing in the viewer and keeping them close with detailed settings that invite closer inspection and individual interpretation.

The focus on wildlife as the primary subject matter allows the viewer to be reintroduced to the sacredness of the animals around us. This is reflected in the show’s secondary goal of raising money for farm animal sanctuaries. The current featured Farm Animal Rescue, Wild Pines Sanctuary in Union, SC, will receive 50% of all artist proceeds, including originals and prints, for the duration of this show.

Tyler’s animals find themselves in liminal, dreamlike worlds, drawing inspiration from the fragmented collective zeitgeist shaped by our ever-fracturing views of history, spirituality, and reality itself. They exist in spiritual half-worlds, often portrayed through the amphibian meeting of water and land, cementing the idea of not fully belonging to either world. Despite the degradation around them, the animals persevere.

  • Good Art Co. curates a few "types" of shows to rotate through every year. We intentionally seek out shows or ideas that reflect our "4 C's"—exhibitions that focus on or promote: CURRENT (reflecting a trending topic we're seeing in the Upstate), CULTURE (reflecting something unique about an Upstate community), CAUSES (reflecting a nonprofit or charitable cause), and COMMUNITY (reflecting a local group or somehow lifting up a local group).

  • Good Art Co. handles everything: show installation, promotion, media and publicity, opening and closing receptions + food and drinks, sales and sales tax, packaging and de-installation, and more. The artist is responsible for dropping off and picking up work, although we can arrange help. Good Art Co. takes a commission of 30% for every sale within our gallery and shop.

  • MAY '24 | SYNAPTIC: An Art Experience Celebrating Neurodiversity

    SYNAPTIC was a visionary art event with a dual mission: to foster greater awareness and acceptance of neurodiversity and to generate financial support for The Meyer Center’s mission to empower children with physical and cognitive differences to reach their highest potential. It featured 16+ artists, raised 2K+ in funds for TMC, and was curated by Nicole Shannon of Create Potential.

  • MARCH-APRIL '24 | I'm Tryna Get Like YOU

    BLKMRKTCLT is an arts studio and collective based in Charlotte, NC that was created to give Black artists a safe space to create. Curated by artist Carla Aaron-Lopez, this exhibition is “a snapshot of the range of practices and skills the BLKMRKTCLT collective brings to table. We are Black and Southern. We are young and old. We move the needle of culture. Which is why you need to get like us.”

  • FEB '24 | My Rage is Like a Flower Garden

    Marcy Parks’ new solo show was called, “My Rage is Like a Flower Garden.” it featured explosive, emotive new works of art from the Bristol, TN-based artist and podcaster. Marcy’s work explores opposing yet sublimely complementary themes of beauty, healing, femininity and rage in bold, luscious paintings and prints.

  • NOV-DEC '23 | Collective Good

    “COLLECTIVE GOOD” was our first ever Good Art Co. Studio Artist group show featuring 14 incredible in-house studio artists, with a portion of gallery sales benefitting Harvest Hope Food Bank and families in need during the holiday season.

  • OCT '23 | Cloudscapes: The Auras I See

    "Cloudscapes" by Laura Cleary Williams was our very first exhibition. This body of work by Chattanooga-based artist and author Williams featured ephemeral, entrancing mixed-media pieces that explore her healing after an injury and how she started to perceive the world.

  • JUNE-JULY '24 | Wet Paint: Celebrating the Upstate's Waterways

    WET PAINT united 20+ talented local artists in presenting new works of art that celebrate the Upstate’s beautiful waterways, especially Connestee Nature Preserve, and raised awareness of why it is so important to protect and preserve this priceless natural resource.

  • SEPT-OCT '24 | RAICES de Quienes Somos

    In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, RAICES explored the vibrant Hispanic and Latinx cultures through art. The stunning exhibition featured a rich tapestry of work from Carla Henriquez, Jorge Rojas and Orlando Corona. It was hosted by the SC Hispanic Alliance.

  • SEP-OCT '24 | Figures & Faces

    FIGURES & FACES was our first mixed-media group exhibition featuring new works by local and regional artists making art around the theme of the human figure. A celebration of the myriad beautiful and painful ways we are born, we grow, we thrive, we become truly ourselves and embrace our bodies, and age gracefully, the show was a powerful testament to how incredible and inspiring the human body is in all of its forms.

  • FEB '25 | SINKHOLE, SC Joseph Smolin Solo Show

    Through paintings, sculpture, and experimental film, “Sinkhole, SC” by Joseph Smolin presented a deeply personal look at how communities in Southern towns and cities increasingly suffer from gentrification, displacement, and climate disaster. Images of melting cities and immanent angels abound, all with an eye toward an absurdist view of the apocalypse.

  • MARCH-APRIL '25 | Natural Impact: Works on Paper Eco-Exhibition

    “Natural Impact: Works on Paper and Eco-Exhibition” was a group exhibition of 20+ talented regional artists celebrating formed fibers and their many incredible applications across a variety of media: book arts, collage, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.

    A portion of all proceeds from the exhibition were donated to benefit TreesUpstate and their work planting, protecting, and promoting trees in upstate South Carolina.

  • MAY-JUNE '25 | The 3rd Annual Queer Arts Initiative Exhibition

    Curated by Rae Clark and sponsored by the Upstate LGBTQ Chamber, the 3rd Annual Queer Arts Initiative Exhibition featured four artists work in which queerness is not only celebrated—it is revealed in its full unfiltered spectrum: messy, powerful, painful, brilliant. These are stories that demand to be seen, heard and remembered.

  • MAY-JUNE '25 | West Bank: Photo Exhibit by Allie Kay

    "West Bank” was a powerful solo exhibition featuring new photography by Allie Kay in the Good Art Co. Makerspace Gallery. "West Bank" featured documentary photographs taken by Allie Kay during her 2024-2025 visits to the West Bank, Palestine.
