SYNAPTIC:

Exhibiting Your Artwork

SUBMIT + SHOW YOUR WORK

Artists are invited to participate in SYNAPTIC, a visionary art exhibition celebrating neurodiversity, the idea that everyone's brain works in its own unique way. Science confirms that each person's way of thinking, learning, and perceiving the world is distinct. This diversity is a valuable part of what makes us all human.

SYNAPTIC invites us to explore the differences in how we understand and engage with the world around us, highlighting how these variations are natural and worthy of celebration. As an immersive art event, SYNAPTIC aims to generate financial support for The Meyer Center's mission to empower children with physical and cognitive differences to reach their highest potential.

Hosted by Good Art Co., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit art center and curated by Nicole Shannon, acclaimed artist and founder of Create Potential, SYNAPTIC provides an inspiring platform for artists to display and sell their work, gaining exposure and recognition. Ensuring that the exhibition is a supportive environment for artists, artists will retain 70% of the proceeds from the sale of their work while 30% will be donated directly to The Meyer Center for Special Children in Greenville, SC.

The show will run from May 1 – June 1, 2024, and is open to artists 18 and older residing in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

BE A PART OF THE VISION

Your art has the power to enlighten, inspire, and connect—helping to create a more inclusive and understanding world.

We are looking for artists who are inspired by the concept of neurodiversity, whether through personal experience or a deep appreciation for the diversity of the human mind. We welcome submissions that invite dialogue and inspire connection.

In keeping with SYNAPTIC's celebration of the unique and diverse ways in which we all experience the world, we invite artists of all backgrounds to share their interpretations of the distinctive ways we think. We especially welcome contributions that draw from personal or professional experiences with neurodiversity, offering insights that deepen our collective understanding and appreciation of the mind's vast landscape.
